What children learn in AmanahKids
The app explains the foundations of Islam in a child-friendly way: Allah, tawhid (belief in the one God), iman and the Qur’an. There are also stories of the prophets with interactive scenes.
Practical lessons help in everyday life. Children learn salah, the prayer, including the obligatory prayers and the prayer steps. They practise wudu, the ritual washing before prayer, step by step. Ghusl, the full-body ritual washing, is also explained in a way children understand.
- Islamic basics: Allah, tawhid, iman and the Qur’an
- The Prophet Muhammad and the Sunnah explained for children
- Learning salah with the obligatory prayers and prayer steps
- Learning wudu and understanding ghusl
- Duas and dhikr for everyday life
- Good deeds and daily habits
How AmanahKids is structured
The app has four sections, which your child reaches via the bar at the bottom: Learn, Level, Deeds and PDFs.
On the home screen the app greets your child with “Assalamu alaikum” and shows the points collected and the current level. A bar shows how far it is to the next level. So your child sees at a glance what they have already achieved.
Stories told with respect
In the stories section, AmanahKids tells stories of the prophets using symbols, nature and places. The app states clearly that prophets are not depicted in images.
Each story carries a thought for everyday life, for example patience, trust and steadfastness, or mindfulness, fairness and obedience.
Playing, practising and being creative
Knowledge sticks when learning is fun. AmanahKids offers quizzes, an Islamic memory game, mazes and dot-to-dot exercises that also train fine motor skills.
Children can colour digitally and solve creative tasks. According to the App Store, version 3.0 brought improved colouring games, a new collection and a sudoku you can play digitally.
Printable PDF worksheets
Much of the content is also available on paper. AmanahKids includes Islamic worksheets as PDFs for learning, revising, colouring, connecting, cutting out and practising.
The worksheets are sorted by topic, such as Islamic basics with the five pillars of Islam and the six pillars of iman, or wudu and ghusl with steps to put in order and tick off. Every sheet can be shared or printed.
